Sailor Moon | The Nerdy Rebellion

The official account for the 20th Anniversary of Sailor Moon posted the trailer for season three of Sailor Moon Crystal today! The series will start airing in April and will be bringing in Sailor Neptune, Sailor Uranus, and Sailor Saturn. The series will also deal with the newest baddies, the Death Busters.

And for random Sailor Moon trivia, today is Sailor Neptune’s Birthday!

I’m excited for the newest arc of Sailor Moon Crystal and this one happens to be my favorite ever. Sailor Saturn is one of my favorite guardians so I can’t wait to see her story in Crystal. I’ve been watching the series even though I am not a fan of the animation but this season looks a bit promising! Please note this is my own opinion and shouldn’t affect how you watch or believe in this series.

If you haven’t caught the series, it is streaming on Hulu and CrunchyRoll. They also stream the newest episodes during the same time they originally air. Now is the perfect time to catch up before season three starts!

I’ve been watching Sailor Moon Crystal on hulu and season two ended with the Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, Sailor Venus, Chibi-Usa, and Tuxedo Kamen saving Queen Serenity who then used her powers to restore Future Earth back to it’s glory.

I was worried because I hadn’t heard anything for a while about season three until sometime in September when it was announced that there will be more Sailor Moon Crystal. Since then I have been anxiously waiting for a premiere date for season three.

Today it was posted on the official Sailor Moon website that Sailor Moon Crystal season three will premiere in the spring and they will be adding Sailor Saturn, Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus. Not that this was at all surprising considering Sailor Moon Crystal is following the manga very closely. The original Sailor Moon anime from the 90s would stray a bit and had a more comedic feel to it. Sailor Moon Crystal pulls everything from the original manga and goes towards darker route.

From what I can gather from the press release on their site and trusty google translator, season three will the ‘Death Busters’ arc! Now to refresh your memory, the Death Busters goal in the original anime series and manga was to resurrect Mistress 9 and bring Pharaoh 9 to wipe out everyone on Earth. I am absolutely excited to see the Death Busters and of course finally seeing Sailor Saturn! I can’t wait for it to start airing (streaming)!
